Zen mini is freezing after fullscreen youtube {Solved}
« on: July 22, 2011, 04:35:49 PM »
For a couple of months my fully upgraded Zen has freezed completely (besides the usual sysreq REISUB) after playing youtube videos in fullscreen mode.

Using the nvidia driver - and beercans -are- thrown at me :-)

anyone know what is going on?

cheers,
MBantz

Thanks as, that solved it,

do you know if there is a fix to the occasional mixup with youtube videos where black text in another application is transparent so you can see the video through the letters?

thanks again,

cheers,
MBantz

This issue (mixup) has been widely reported, it's strictly related to flash and nvidia. You can search the forum around "ghost images" for further info. The issue come and go depending on different flash-player-plugin versions and/or different nvidia driver versions, and different Xserver version. (and of course depending on video card too).
Turning off acceleration should solve also this issue, although occasionally I see some artifacts, mostly is solved for me.

Glad you solved :)
