editing/setting shortcut XFCE menu
« on: July 21, 2011, 08:07:06 AM »
Hi,
I have a KDE installation and added package task-xfce through synaptic.
I would like to edit the XFCE menu and set shortcuts to the menu and the items in the menu.
Can someone point me where I can do these?
Thanks

Thanks Sproggy.

How about setting keyboard shortcuts for menu items?
I see setting application shortcuts in settings manager. But I am not able to find the executable as I dont know the executable for menu items.
For example, I would like to set win+r for run program item in the menu.
Thanks

Yes, the executables are in /usr/bin. The one for run is called xfrun4

you can append xfce4 to your sources and get xfce4. That's what I did for a while before it was official

in doin this be prepared for the migration scripts... you may lose your current settings and only end up with a single little panel being created

TKS Kori, looking forward to seeing this soon I hope, just need a power supply for the new lappy.

Now knowing my luck, I'll get my copy of LXDE migrated to the new machine and won't be able to install XFCE on it...
