help installing DBF editor. Any one know of one for PCLinux? or how to compile?

Ok I have a .dbf file that is a tad complex if I edit it in LibreOffice lose 1MB of it because some of it is not in the cells

is there a DBF editor in synaptic I am just not seeing?

But not sure how to install it usualy would just do ./instal-sh but the install read me says I need to compile this?
