Hi,
I would like to reopen this thread because I feel that not having it anymore makes it missing. I don't use Yumex because I don't feel it provides me what I have in Synaptic, and Apt-sources-update in my machines, where I won't uninstall it, still works perfectly.
The one point which I have been very happy about it the ability to get the information about THE SLOWEST mirrors, which happen to be also the most late for updates. Thanks to this I have been able to reinstall the former version of mozilla-sunbird which works perfectly with the fr.xpi, whereas the new mozilla-sunbird does not yet, and I have also been able to help
one of our members to get an older version of addlocale which has worked perfectly for him, getting the swedish locales in his system.
Without apt-sources-updates I would not have found so easily the slowest mirrors. So be it for the faster or the slower, I would like apt-sources-updates to be re-integrated to the repositories.
Regards,
Mélodie
