 :D Very good!

Today I have installed Phoenix twice, first for my pal, who is very happy now, then for myself so I may help him if needed - I use KDE mainly, but this edition rocks!

Mika  :)

23.7. edit: And now my parents have the latest Xfce too.

Installed it onto my Mom's laptop.  This is really great, I've not been happy with other distro implementations of Xfce in the past and Pheonix is just awesome! Best implementation of Xfce ever!  The only thing I needed to do was use gnome-power-manager for adequate suspend to ram options.  Nice work Sproggy!  :D ;D

Are there any other requirements to make the US keyboard work? I followed instructions, but still have certain letters come up as numbers when I type via LiveCD!? Otherwise everything else seems to work well.

thanx

For some reason "num lock" or "num lk" is set to on, by default.  Try hitting that key..........fixed?

I'm loving the Phinx, Sproggy!  I'm thinking of completely leaving KDE just for Xfce,   :D

But I've read on the August mag that a Phinx Mini is in the works! I want that one more!  I can hardly wait for it!  ;D

I just updated today and went to reboot into windblows 7, I barely turned around and saw the Linux Login Screen back up.
This time the little menu at the bottom caught my eye and I selected the blue down arrow thingy and saw XFCE DRAK3D KDE Custom Failsafe.
Hmmmm.
Throwing caution to the wind I selected XFCE. WOW COOL!
Next I'm trying to remember why I wanted to boot into WindBlows 7. ;)
Rebooted and tried DRAK3D  or whatever it is. Got a message about needing to reboot if I changed video driver or disabled some audio thingy. I'll investigate that later.

Now I want to show off more Linux magic to friends and coworkers. 7 Distros on a 4 GB USB. That raised eyebrows.

So where do I go to learn howto add other Desktop Managers to that menu. What about GNOME, is that the GTK Live Install in Launchers System menu? Will that add a Gnome option to that desktop manager/environment selection menu on the boot screen?

It just keeps getting better and better all the time!

Thanx for a great Linux Distro with a great community!

To add othe de managers go to synaptic and choose "task-lxde" or "task-kde"  or whatever tickles your fancy.  On log in you can choose your de.

Have fun!!
