To answer your last question first: Yes, also browser pages will not print landscape correct (malformed).
Edit: For the heck of it I went testing again and it did print landscape in Firefox. At least I lost somehow that glitch. Encouraged I moved on to LO and tried again to print landscape (on the very slow Epson T13).... It worked from our little lappy EeePC 701! Surprise, surprise! Now I got to wait till tomorrow to try the PC at school and the T13 there next to the Canon MP160. Wondering never ends...... I can't figure out as to why it works now

Why this laptop and not the PC? That PC appears to run fine...

Same KDE be it that this lappie has a "meager" (had to trim it to make it fit) version due to lack of HDD space. Does the job though it seems. However.... Calc doesn't print any columns or rows (Nothing but the figures and text). Sigh.
End EditWhen I export within LO to PDF it does print landscape but again not in a correct format. LO has reach the level of "useless" to me, having to ask someone to print my files on a Windows laptop, using Office 2007, go figure my enjoyment!
I have not tried other apps as these are not relevant to my goal: print in landscape documents produced by LO.
I thought at first it might be the printer (Epson T13 which has a very VERY poor Linux driver). So I hooked up an proven good printer for Linux, Canon MP160 (has always worked great till some time ago) only to find out that also that one didn't print landscape anymore. Printing landscape simply ends up as portrait printed.
Something in printing has become real bad. It started some time ago with HP drivers and since then it is every time something else lately. But this is real silly for this is such a basic thing.
I have done all I could think of from upgrading LO (which led me to the lomanager problem but got around that via manual install. Pinoc's instructions were very helpful at this btw), to reinstalling everything "printing" as well as java and of course reinstalling the printers several times.
I can add that during testing printing in landscape the Epson sometimes actually do so but only as long as it is simple text (a few words) and on A4 only.
And this version 3.4.2 supposed to be ready for the big boys? Nagh.....
It's a pain. It can't also read properly docx files which to my regret are really out there in numbers.
I got to install either a Windows Office (under wine) but after 12 year Linux I hate to face this trouble or maybe try Softmaker. I don't know right now for it is all too silly to be true imho.
What amazes me most is that obviously no-one is bothered by this (I see no complaints on the board until you came along). Reminds me on the ignorance of video cam support (lack of) several years ago.
Well to make a too long story short, even LO looks and runs fine it is still heavily disappointing me.
(Pfwew ....... end of rant!)
