Forum search with Google

It is sometimes frustrating to use the two forum search options.  If you have the same experience you might try giving the job to Google - it is very good at it.  Here's how:

From the search box at http://www.google.com/ enter the search query then a space followed by; site:pclinuxos.com/forum/

for example:  yum site:pclinuxos.com/forum/


Edit: I realize it is common knowledge - even saw it mentioned somewhere on the forum as I looked for something else.  I knew about it and forgot it for years.  When you suffer from memory loss of these little things it's good to get a reminder.

  I might have to ask you if I post about beer vs the M!(%0$0#^ Empire.  The spell check option seems to have vanished.

Friend, don't how aware you are, but check this. Google is set to remember, record your IP, and report all search terms, and sets a 5 year cookie. Here is a search engine that does not record your IP, is fast, and gets you what you need without spying on you. http://dogpile.com/

I put duckduckgo at the very top of my search engine list for being non invasive

How about those duckduckgobots?  Where are they - not on this forum too much.  I made a forum search using duckduckgo as the engine and the search term "forum search" to see if this thread pops up.  Didn't see the thread but there were a lot of hits for  Hootiegibbon's signature.  With the google search engine this thread was the #2 display.  In order to have something that works well I will accept a 5 year cookie and you can record my IP.  Is that really so terrible?
