apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get install gnome-session gnome-panel gnome-power-manager   (and maybe  some other gnome packages)

Hm I have problem with dependencies. Maybe aptupgrade did not work correctly and only think that it did? I used this:
Code: [Select]
rpm --erase libupower-glib1-0.9.11-1pclos2011.i586 upower-0.9.11-1pclos2011.i586
rpm -- install *
* means upower and libupower downloaded manually.
Now i can install gnome-session
If i don't speak to you after restart it means - my system definitelly crash.

you may get dependency problems sometimes because all packages are not fully sync. The best thing to do when getting them is to wait and try to update later, not to force the issue.
.. 3 things are certain in life : death, taxes and software bloat ..
.. tell me something i don't know, something i can use as i struggle to reason with the world around me ..

I canceled the update because I saw it want to delete needed packages for the Gnome desktop without putting back.
