GRUB - Error 21

I've installed PClinuxOS 2011.6 KDE without errors, but when I reboot I have a Grub "error 21" and my system doesn't start.

In my PC I have two HDDs, the first is the primary hard disk with Windows and it is the default boot drive.

I've installed PClinuxOS on the second HDD (sdb) but I've set to install GRUB in the first HDD (sda). I tryed two times to install it without results.

I've used for a long time other distros with the same HDD configuration and GRUB worked fine, now with PClinuxOS I have these problems. How can I solve them?

21 : Selected disk does not exist
      This error is returned if the device part of a device- or full
      file name refers to a disk or BIOS device that is not present or
      not recognized by the BIOS in the system.

Do you possibly have a USB stick plugged in when you reboot? This can throw your drive count off, so that the second drive is seen as the third drive. If so, remove it and try to reboot to your PCLinuxOS installation.

If you do not have a USB stick plugged in, and the problem persists, show us the contents of your /boot/grub/menu.lst.
