I uninstalled version 2 and installed version 3. Still don't have any updates. But, I'm seeing something I missed before. After running the first time, I change settings to enable pop-up notifications and set update interval to 1 day. Then I exit and start the app from the menu again. Notification says "The next scheduled check for updates is DISABLED" (in CAPS).

When I look in ~/.update-notifier-launcher/SETTINGS at the days file, the value is set to 1. Judging by the pop-up message, it must be coming from the Read Next Update Time (NUT) settings section.

Bingo. That fixed the update interval. Now if I had some packages to install.

Sorry. That screenshot's a little confusing. I'm trying to update with Synaptic.

I'm going to hold off on updating manually until the script works, unless something crucial comes up.

Found a another error about settings... ::)
Days will not display as update setting, it set auto-check disabled, after i set hours of 0, and days of 1..., and so i will remove it from settings window in next version.
Add more by time setting.
Will 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours be enough?
