« on: July 01, 2011, 04:28:11 PM »

Confirmed - same problem here.  Tried to update from 3.3 and am without an office suit.

It rans through all the motions without ever downloading anything.

Done so far.

- Uninstall lomanager, restart, reinstall lomanager.
- emptied all tmp folders .
- checked /var/cache for leftovers (non to be found)

Any help will be highly appreciated - this is a working machine.

Thanks.

longtom,
may be your repo is not synced yet and you are running the old lomanager?

I had yesterday problems with it, look here:

@longtom, Yesterday, I did the update and ran lomanager. I've forgotten about it in the course of my computer use since it was a large download. I think there was a notification that it installed successfully.

Today, when I booted up, I clicked on my menu entry (manually organized) for Writer and waited, and nothing. I was sure I got a notification 3.4.1 was installed last night. Looked around and no LibreOffice. I deleted all my menu entry and  ran the installer again (as mornings for me are usually the best time for downloads and torrents), and this time around it installed properly. I reorganized my menu entries and everything is OK for me.

Wait till it turns to 3.4.1.

But if you are in hurry try as temporary my yesterday's solution, it worked there on LXDE.

What is no good? What did uninstall and reinstall? What language are you trying to install LibreOffice?

1. Is there a folder /opt/libreoffice3.4/program on your system?
2. Is there a folder /opt/libreoffice3.4/share/xdg on your system?
3. Do you have any of the following symlinks in the /usr/share/applications folder

libreoffice3.4-base.desktop
libreoffice3.4-calc.desktop
libreoffice3.4-draw.desktop
libreoffice3.4-impress.desktop
libreoffice3.4-math.desktop
libreoffice3.4-printeradmin.desktop
libreoffice3.4-startcenter.desktop
libreoffice3.4-writer.desktop

The above would indicate a successful installation.

Are you doing installation to an actual hard drive not a usbkey disk?

How much free space is available on your / partition?

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.
