what was working with all previous kernels now refuses to work, the only setting i created is the basic profiles in kde4 but that only controls screen brightness and similar stuff
This is the Toshiba you got last September?

I saw a bug report for that kernel describing kernel panic on shutdown  "Error looks like:
Dentry <insert some hex number here> still in use".  The screen may not even display the kernel panic and "Apport" doesn't finish the report.  Also big power regressions reported by Phoronix in this kernel affecting Toshiba mobile devices (not sure if that would include netbooks).  Still havn't found the work around other than Tex's link on CPU freq scaling.

other than that, this kernel is as good as previous versions, each release is faster!
