Unable to install virtualbox - !no internet connection
« on: June 29, 2011, 11:38:37 AM »
I have a fully updated install of PCLinuxOS on my desktop.

I tried searching Synaptic. Only thing there is 'getvirtualbox' the script that will install it. I installed the script.

I ran getvirtualbox in a terminal after 'su' / password routine. It says that I have no internet connection. But the fact that I am able to post this thing proves that I do  ;D

So what to do now?

You can always go to virtualbox.org and download and run their runtime package. That is all that getvirtualbox does.

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.

Yep, it's probably looking for a version that isn't there.

What is the exact error message you are getting sling-shot?  Can you cut/paste the text?
