Problem Resolution update
« on: June 29, 2011, 01:14:42 AM »
hello
I updated my system

I have my TV connected to the laptop
Now after updating I can not see the resolution 1360x768 on my tv.
The maximum resolution on my tv is now 1280 x 800

The new x.org driver is to blame?

Hmmm. Your forum signature gives computer specs of: Pentium II 350 Mhz - 128 Mb Ram Sdram - GC Intel I740 8 Mb - DD 4Gb

Is that right? 128MB of RAM? And you're running what desktop? Your video card is a 2X AGP with 8 MB of video RAM? This doesn't add up.

There are a few posts about that Intel chipset, including the one you started recently here: http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,93308.0.html

Did you ever update to a newer kernel? I don't have a laptop or that video card, so I have no experience with it.

Still using 2.6.33.7 kernel? Update to either 2.6.37 or 2.6.38.

What video card are you using? Go to PCC > Hardware > Browse and configure hardware. Click the Videocard arrow in the left pane. What module does it show for that card?

Can you post the contents of /etc/X11/xorg.conf?
