Loss of background image in e17 Themes

I didn't find anything on this with search.  In installed the full version of PCLOS E17 late last week, everything was fine.  I was using the A-B-W PCLOS51 theme, stars were twinkling, etc.  I left the computer for an hour or so and when I came back, no background image, only a black desktop!  I checked the other themes and they all seemed to be O.K., than yesterday, I noticed a couple more had no background image.  Now the image does appear in the preview area, but not on the desktop.  Now today, even more are gone!  I'm down to about half the animated backgrounds that actually will appear on the screen although they all show up in the preview.  I've tried everything I can think off but don't want to mess up the install.  Anyway, what I have here is a HP e6500FPC, Intel dual core processor, 4 G RAM, Nvidia Gforce 7100 onboard graphics and HDA onboard sound.  2 HDDs, both Hitachi SATA, a 500 G which has Win 7 and a backup image of Win Vista and a new Hitachi 1T which has a GPT partition table and about 9 primary partitions with lunux distros and 1 NTFS DATA partition as a "go between" for Windows, PCLOS is on hdb1=/Boot=1G, hdb2=/Home=100G and hdb3=/=100G and I have a 4G Swap partition common to all installs.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

I don't recall having seen that theme lately, and Enlightenment has been upgraded several times.  Some of the themes 'rolled' under version e-16 are not functioning correctly with E-17 due to changes.  You can try reinstalling the theme packages and make sure that 'use theme image' is checked.

I'll give it a shot.  I used the included Synaptic to download the PCLOS theme pack, so I assumed they'd all work.  I'll take a look at settings as well.  Thing is, even the base Calm theme has disappeared now as well, at least the background has!  I'll get back to you after dinner.  Thanks!

I tried reinstalling them but no help!  Some of them do say DR17, so maybe they are just old themes.  Strange, they worked for a little while, though!  I see they have a knew KDE version out, may have to try it.  Will purchase a PASS account at end of the week should make downloading quicker.  Thanks for the help!  If anyone else knows of a solution, let me know.  I'll leave the thread open for a couple of days, yet.

The only themes that work properly with the Enlightenment Desktop are the agust themes in the repository. There are 3 separate packages with many many very nice themes.

Thank you, Agust.  I ended up re-installing everything, I wasn't really happy with the file layout either, so anyway, after installing the theme packs via synaptic they are all working.  I'll download those new ones as well.  I've been to that site before.  Seems I see your name on almost every e17 forum!  You do great work, Agust!  Very nice themes.  Thanks again.

Agust is truely a master at Enlightenment themes.  I'm so glad he graces our community with his work.
