[solved]How to find non-standard characters in a font?
« on: June 26, 2011, 10:47:31 AM »
There used to be an application in KDE (similar to the one in Windows) that would show all of the characters in a font and either the keystroke or the unicode mapping for a particular character within a font.  It's not something I use very often but is invaluable when you need it.

I can not find this application in my current installation, nor can I remember the name.

I need to add the degree symbol in an email.

Pointers on how to input this symbol, or find/install the app that would let me solve this on my own, are greatly appreciated,

KCharSelect is the application and can be found on the Office menu.

I really needed to click send on that email.  It was already several weeks late....
