Been working with a friend who's a retired doctor. He is interested in moving to PCLinuxOS. We have encounter two problems with his current hardware, one is a webcam, which can be replaced with a new one. The other got me stumped it's his printer.
Doc Bill has a Lexmark X5470 (5 in one) Printer their support site is: "support.lexmark.com/index?segment=SUPPORT&userlocale=EN_US&locale=en&productCode=LEXMARK_X5470&page=product&frompage=null#1". They have none listed under this model.
Looking through our forum I found some Lexmark's but not this version of the machine. Ergo, we are turning to the forum for advice in getting it printing and scanning.
Has anyone else found a way to get this unit to function under PCLinuxOS, we are currently using an updated version under KDE gui.
I don't have a printer at home, doc is miles away, so I can't go into my PCC and see if there are any listings for Lexmark, close to his model number.
