May I please be directed to an up-to-date list of PCLinuxOS bootcodes/cheatcodes ?  Other than the partial list at PenDriveLinux, everything specific to PCLOS [via Google] seems to be a dead-end.  TIA....Jet

It would be nice if someone could contribute some other boot codes that are missing from my post above.

With more contributions we could begin to make a comprehensive list, and hopefully put a page in the Wiki/Knowledge Base on the subject.

The above list is NOT exhaustive, unfortunately .....  and may have some errors.

I don't know if this will help but if you install kernel source code via synaptic you get a kernel-parameters.txt file at /usr/src/linux-2.6.38.8-pclos1/Documentation/kernel-parameters.txt

Here's a small example of this file from my installation...

(mostly) by the __setup() macro and sorted into English Dictionary order

parameter name with optional '=' and value as appropriate, such as:

Module parameters for modules that are built into the kernel image

Hyphens (dashes) and underscores are equivalent in parameter names, so

"modinfo -p ${modulename}" shows a current list of all parameters of a loadable
module. Loadable modules, after being loaded into the running kernel, also
reveal their parameters in /sys/module/${modulename}/parameters/. Some of these
parameters may be changed at runtime by the command
"echo -n ${value} > /sys/module/${modulename}/parameters/${parm}".

The parameters listed below are only valid if certain kernel build options were
enabled and if respective hardware is present. The text in square brackets at
the beginning of each description states the restrictions within which a
parameter is applicable:

Knome:  Instead of posting the text file, why not zip it up, upload it to a filehost (ie., depositfile, hotfile, etc), then just post the link to the file on the host.  A very long post will only unnecessarily eat the forum's bandwidth every time someone visits this topic.
