have you edited the profiles?
the profiles just follow a set of options you create, none of them includes the cpu, only screen brightness
there is a option to run a script but i don't use it

Yes I have it set to extreme powersave......does nothing but dim the screen

the rest should be handled by laptop mode and cpufreq
