I am trying to load the latest version of
PCLINUX OS (GNOME) on a legacy desktop
which has been running a HD install of KNOPPIX.
during the install, I get the following message:
The panel encountered a problem while
loading "OAFIID:GNOME_DriveMountApplet".
Do you want to delete the applet from your
configuration?
I respond "don't delete" it. The boot continues
and the system runs from the disk. When I
attempt to "Install LiveCD", I select "erase and
use the entire hard drive" it indicates that the
operation was successful and I need to restart
the installation. I do and the installation just
repeats (as above) but the install to the HD never
begins.
