You could have just changed the mount point of the Data partition
Use either /mnt/Data or /media/Data for the mount point. (I presently prefer /media)
It will always, when mounted, appear in the file system as you described, showing its contents.
The 'Places' is just a short cut to that location.
You can add a Folder location to Places and go directly to it by clicking on the relevant Places icon. You can choose a specific icon for any entry.
That is what happens with all those listed.
