T60 + bluetooth + kde +mouse (solved)

Now that is the damnedest thing. For quite some time now (at least several months) my bluetooth mouse stopped working after an update... when not exactly sure because I don't always use it.

For several weeks now I have been fiddling with this trying to get the mouse to connect. Tired reinstalling all bluetooth stuff and bluedevil; no change. Peeked at some files, etc, etc. No matter how many times trying to add a device with the mouse in discover mode; nothing would happen, would never see it.

Then today just on a whim I thought to take a look at the bluetooth service in Dolphin. Now I had done that before but this time I had the mouse is discover mode; lo and behold guess what showed up? Yep the mouse. So I clicked on it and bowl my weevil it connected.

Great news - it's wonderful when that happens "out of the blue" (no pun intended  )

I think I recall seeing bluez being updated the other day - but no idea whether that had anything to do it - probably just magic!!!
