Size of USB stick ?

Hello all
Could someone tell me the recommended capacities of USB sticks for installation of
PCLos KDE, Gnome, LXDE, Enlightenment etc.
I need to do some internet banking and want to do this via PCLos on a USB stick,
but am unsure of what capacity USB stick to buy for this.
It will only be used for this purpose and will be a minimal install, just Firefox,
Wine for the Windows password program which contains my password information
and the default stuff.
Would it be better to use Mini-Me and install only Firefox and Wine ?

If you plan to use persistance, 4GB would be the minimum size, I think.

Any of the minis should do well.

Yup, 4GB would be fine.

On the password side of things have you considered using KeePass? (in the repos)

yes, the de that uses more space is kde4 followed closely by gnome, around 2gbs on / partition when installed

those will barely fit on a 4 g  usb stick, only 3.7 gbs of space for the user will leave you with practically no space for home and for swap(swap on a usb stick is painfully slow but if you have lots of ram this doesn't matter really)

if possible, get a fast 8 or 16 gb stick, 8 gb sticks are very cheap now, i just bought one of this in 8 gb size(7.4 gbs for user)

that way you can have a / partition and home partition(or not, more simple not to) in a better size, without worries of have problems with space quickly

the minimum installation already contains firefox, what you have to add is wine and that doesn't use much space, 40 mbs more or less

I have taken the plunge and bought a 16Gb Sandisk for a very similar price
to 8Gb. (gbp 20)
I am downloading PCLos XFCE since it is described as lightweight and fast.
Thought this would maybe be better for a running from USB.

Lightweight and fast is a good description. Also for LXDE-Mini, Openbox-Bonsai and zenMini. All of these are good on USB. I haven't tested KDE-MiniMe, but I believe it would do well on USB, too.
Choices! Great to have them, isn't it?
