Pmurdia,
  I actually do technical support for a wireless carrier. As long as PCLOS detects the card (which from what those above have said it is) the only thing left is to use kppp to create a dialup connection through the card with the username/password etc from your carrier. Once that info is in there you can use the dial up connection through the card and connect to the internet. Please note most wireless carriers use the phone number #777 when connecting to data so that's what you'll want your card to be dialing through kppp.

but that number *777  i should use only when something is detected so that I can enter the number into!!

Ok, could you please let me know about the following:

I would have to install lsmod and lsusb from usb, can you give me the direct link to download those packages (in windows XP) and install in PCLinuxOS via usb with the download instructions. As this is required according to the page:

I tried all the options in PCLOS, none is working there. However the great thing is that, via PCC, when I saw the hardware profiles, The modem was detected as HSPA data card however, when trying for new connection via 3G/GPRS, it is not working and saying that no such device could be found. So that's problematic.

So ultimately it is not working at the end of the day.

I didn't know why this was not working but in fact I have changed (for now, at least) to the landline connection of internet, I mean no data card issue.

If it is in the Network Centre you should be able to open it (click on the downward pointing arrow on the left, configure it (if you have been given any passwords or keys with it) and then connect using the Connect  button.

If that doesn't work, go into PCC -> Network & Internet -> set up a new network interface and go through the procedure to set it up there.

Oh well, but now I am not using the data card, using direct connection (a little bit slow too!) from the isp. But in future, if I would use that data card, I would have to see the option of 'PCC -> Network & Internet -> set up a new network interface'
