Not sure this is the correct place post this problem, anyway, just need some advice, please.

Ran synaptic, Reloaded, Five updates, Apply, got this error message:

 W: Failed to fetch http://gnustep.ethz.ch/mirror/pclinuxos/apt/pclinuxos/2010/RPMS.main/x11-driver-input-vmmouse-12.7.0-4pclos2011.i586.rpm

* Quit Synaptic
* I updated the sources.list
* Used the getnewsources method, which Automates the updating of the sources.list, then opens Synaptic, ...
Within Synaptic:
Changed to another server.
* Reloaded
* 5 updates
* Apply.
* error message again.

What to do:
I pondered as the Apply Icon had stayed lit, if I hit it again the same message was generated. I couldn't actually quit Synaptic, the message, "Do you want to forget this update"(similar) popped up, I remembered reading never to say yes to that message, quite stuck.

I copied, "x11-driver-input-vmmouse", pasted into search box. It came up, was yellowed out, I right clicked on it and selected to un-apply the updating of this item, (some such words) as my only logical option. The "x11-driver-input-vmmouse" update became green, and I can right click to select "update" it appears, at a later date, if need be ?
I then reloaded again, and hit Apply, the info box now had "x11-driver-input-vmmouse-12.7.0-4pclos2011", as deemed not to be updated, and the four others to be updated.

The update of the other four items was successful, and no Error Message occured.
The "x11-driver-input-vmmouse" update is now green, not yellow, but not selected to be updated, and I can right click to select "update" it appears, at a later date ?
I quit Synaptic, the Konsole produced a cursor and I typed, "exit".

I've rebooted.

The item, "x11-driver-input-vmmouse-12.7.0-4pclos2011" is the part of VitualBox which enhances focus of the mouse within the program, I believe. I don't use VirtualBox, the update seems to be potentially able to be downloaded at a later date I suppose, or heck I don't really know. At least I was able to uncheck the thing, and quit Synaptic properly !

Phew, hope I did the right thing ?
