Installed Linux Guacamole Salad ppc 9.2. Actually it is a Debian sarge base install with Guacamole Salad installed over the top of it. It was a network install after a short base install. It took about 1.5 hours to do it. All works out of the box. See screenshot( Mods I know it aint the screenshot section but I wanted to show it in the related thread). Works fast and smooth so far.  I am proud of my self.

P.S.  Linux Guacamole Salad ? Very Funny!. lmao. :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks for the update.  I will keep that O/S in mind since I also have a G4 iBook.  1.33 ghz G4 with 1.5 gigs of ram.

I presume Linus was talking about HFS/HFS+, as it compares to ext2/3/4, etc...

bone113 was more likely talking about the directory layout structure (/, /etc/, /var/, /home, and so on...)

...
 ;)

You are correct. Although the system runs well it seems there is little flash support for linux ppc distros. I have a  few workarounds I will try sometime next week when I get back from Atlanta. I will keep you posted.
