Hello,

I added the weather widget to the panel and i configured it, now configure keeps showing where clementine firefox is also where the icons are on the right of the panel.

Is there some way to fix it ? screenshot below, not sure if it will work.

We can't see screenshots on your computer. When you want us to see a picture you have to upload it to something like www.postimage.org and link to the uploaded image.

I can see your problem: the configure button of the LCD Weather station has popped up under the Clementine and Firefox icons.

I was also able to replicate it -- with a twist: on my box it popped up under the cashew, which made it very hard to use or move. (I managed to remove it by right-clicking the outer edge of it; if I clicked just a pixel or two to the right, the click went to the cashew.)

I don't have a solution, but you could try to use another weather widget instead. The one named Weather Forcast seems to work, and there used to be plenty of them on kde-look.org.

Right-click the empty area to the right of the icons; click "Smooth Task Settings"; click "Appearance"; and on the first tab untick "Expand Tasks".

I should perhaps add to my earlier posts that the LCD Weather Station seems to work quite well as a desktop widget. It may not be intended for the panel.

I would agree with this. I tried adding the Weather Forecast widgit to my panel and the panel got totally messed up. I ended up reinstalling kde4-config to get it back to the default panel. By the way you need to log out and log back in before this method takes effect.

I deleted the panel as it was all messed up, and added a new default panel.

Now i can`t see Smooth Task Settings anywhere. All i can see is Task Manager Settings, Panel Options and Remove This Task Manager.

Is there any other way of doing it ?

Derek.

You will have to remove it and replace it with Smooth Tasks (which is a more configurable task manager). So: remove your present task manager; check that your widgets are unlocked; click the cashew; click "Add Widgets..."; scroll to "Smooth Tasks"; double-click it; drag it to where you want it on the panel; close the configuration bar; and lock the widgets.
