Perhaps as a footnote to this for those who might come after, I tried doing 192.168.2.3:/media/disk/mdm/ as a share and got the whole of my user folder to play with from the lappy! You clever chaps might have already known this, and watched me bumble around with accessing one folder tucked inside user, but to me it was rocket science! Suddenly, the world is my bivalve.
