I have a Trendnet-648UB (USB) modem, which works great. The problem is, it will not work with the driver set provided in PCLinuxOS. The drivers will recognize the modem and the network, but will not connect to it. However, a ndiswrapper works like a champ.
What has me curious is, both Mint and Mepis LiveCD's detect the modem, and connect to the network with it. So the problem is not the available set of drivers.
My system if fully and completely up to date from the PASS repository, something I do about three times a week.
So, any idea what is happening?
