Localhost not connected at startup
« on: May 15, 2011, 12:27:48 AM »
Hi

I have just re-installed PcLinux Gnome after some time away but have a problem printing to my network printer. I have tracked it down to Cups not starting at boot. If I use sudo/etc/init.d/cups restart then all is OK. Can you please advise me how to start cups at boot up.

Thanks

The easiest way is by using the PCLinuxOS Control Center. Click on System in the left panel, then click on "Manage system services ..." in the right panel. Find cups and put a check mark next to "On boot". You can also start and stop the daemons by using the buttons.

You're welcome. I just happened to be on the forum at the right time.
