e17 sound control - USB headphones
« on: May 14, 2011, 07:27:42 AM »
I have e17 installed on latest Pclinuxos with all updates installed. Pclinuxos has correctly identified both audio output stereo speakers and USB lifechat headphones, sound plays fine on speakers but when plugged in I cannot seem to switch sound to headphones. is there an easy way to do this?

PS how good does e17 look and respond wow   :o

In trying to switch to use headphones I have accidentally disabled all sound. So sound now doesn't work at all.

I clicked on a pop up which said manage audio devices, I cannot locate where this pop-up came from to use it again. Is there anyway to fix the settings up?

Update I installed kmix and got my speaker sound working again. Still unable to switch sound to USB headphones.

?? Is this posted in the wrong forum section??

Is Pulse Audio an option?

It gives the user control of the source and destination of all sounds ......  on an app by app basis.
