have a lenovo X100e. i have used the 2.6.37.x kernel since it became available here. my graphics card is ATI RS780M/RS780MN [Radeon HD 3200. Use Gnome Zen and e17 desktops on this machine. I did an update -standard procedure- last week and now i can't boot. i get an erro that has something to do with fgrlx not found. i am then asked if i want to configure xorg manually. i say yes, accept the defaults, say yes iwant to use teh proprietary driver when asked and then it freezes on a page that says it is configuring the driver. i tried removing completely the kernel and reloading it and get the same result. there was a reference to dropping the screen resolution in Synaptic as part of the result message after i reinstalled (1366x768 is native i recall it was dropping to 1024x768) but no reference to fgrlx or dkms(which i understand has been a  problem with some people lately)

everything works fine with the 2.6.32.11 kernel.

what changed?
