For special reasons I have installed pclos on a (very minimal) Linutop2 PC, and chose Openbox as a suitably compact option. My e-mailer of choice on my main KDE-based desktop machine is Kmail, and I added this to the Openbox setup. It works reasonably well, but there is one irritating snag. Having downloaded new messages, and seen the correct number of unread items listed in the directory tree at the left of the window, as soon as I select any of the new messages a (random?) number of the older, previously read, messages in the same folder are instantly marked as unread, and the number of unread messages in the left-hand pane increments accordingly. With descending date order of messages this can be coped with, but it's a highly inconvenient feature. If anyone can suggest a fix, I would be grateful!
