Mouse clicks in Openbox
« on: May 03, 2011, 10:16:15 AM »
When setting up my Openbox pclos installation, I was able to adjust the mouse acceleration and threshold values using xset.  However, I also need to adjust the timings for mouse clicks (I'm using a Logitech wired USB laser mouse), particularly to avoid apparent multiple clicks when I've only clicked once.  xset doesn't seem to include such a facility, and I haven't found it in the configuration utilities provided with Openbox.  Do I simply have to live with the inconvenience and close redundant instances of application windows, or is there a way of 'timing out' this apparent contact bounce?

Don't know what model your mouse is, but you may want to take a look here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Linux_and_the_mouse.

As stated on the web page, "As there are several hundred mice out there and several Linux distributions available, the installation will continue to focus primarily on the Logitech MX-1000 under Mandriva."
