Forum software
« on: April 23, 2011, 11:11:32 PM »
Anyone experiences like me? Since some days the forum loads like .. well, a snail at best.
Knowing the history with my provider I suspected them first. Then Firefox was suspected (I never have seen any of the promised speed since 4 anyway). But ... most other sites loads normal. Tried Chromium and ... the same thing is happening. Problems with the forum.
Opera makes the best out of it right now but it is still a hassle at times. Loading for ever....
So now I start thinking there could be something wrong with the software used for the forum or the server?
But I have not seen any complain yet and so .... well, I am wondering  ???

Hmm, that didn't help me stop wondering  ;D

Got to think about that so very old questions: What now?  What causes this? IS it something on my system?

Just to reply to this takes me many a minute. NO such behavior on any other site  ???

No swore that stuff off a while ago as it causes more trouble then it solves  :)

All my boxes are connected wi-fi at home. Have seldom seen anything like this while all other sites open normal....

Saying that, right now all is responsive again (for now at least). Some kind of "glitch"?   ???

If you haen't already done so you may want to clear your cache in case something in their is causing your problem.

Mebbe run Bleachbit and clear out what you can - choose whatever cleaning options you want;  In the Firefox section I'd probably tick the Cache / DOM Storage / Sesstion Restore / Url History / Vacuum options (and the other one's if you wanted  ;))

Then after that's done it's work restart your desktop.
