How often is E17 updated on PcLinuxOS?

Is there a repo in synaptic that updates E17 at same time as PclinuxOS?

Thanks

Update: I ran the live cd and updated. New E17 was waiting

It depends how often e17 guys at www.enlightenment.org release new updates.

Normally e17 gets updated (one great guy from Texas does that!) at PCLinuxOS soon after a release of new update from enlightenment.org

There is no separate repo for e17, it gets updated in the same manner (and repos) as other software at PCLinuxOS.

Sum liddle debil created a new e17-Spring Fairy ISO and stuck it on a webserver somewhere... I can't say where but you might look here www.csolisphotography.com/iso/   Looks mighty nice and has new kernel and toolchain... plus you can update in a jiffy and add apps you want...

I've always tried to keep a nice clean fully updated ISO around to install from when I get new hardware, or even boof up an install..  Thanks to Agust for his patience... I did the wallpaper, but it was Agust that set it in the theme for me.

I have now learned some e-magic and actually did the She-Devil theme solita (all by myself) by reading instructions provided in last PCLOS Magazine..

Cool! 8) I'll bet parnote would welcome a quick article about what you've done.   ;)

simply this... I stuck the theme in a folder... pulled a terminal up in the folder and typed...

decc_edje theme.edj
then stuck my image in the folder provided, plus some fonts that were missing and
./build.sh from within the folder..

(P.S. you need to change the name of your wallpaper to grill_tiny_  something or another.. and you need to edit the other file to reflect the name of the new theme prior to build.sh

I gleaned that all from the article.. :D

Hi Cindy,

Could you please post what are included (apart from a new kernel and toolchain) in the 640Mb ISO? Thanks.

Hang on... Virtual box disappeared, and now... terminal doesn't work on my install....grrrrrrrrrrrr

Okay... I had installed 2.6.38.4 kernel last night and had to reinstall virtual box via get virtual box scripty..  Nice job, guys!!

Now..list of apps.  This ISO is pretty much bare bones.  It gives me a starting point where I have all the basic apps I like to use, without all the server stuff I use on my pc's.

File Roller (archiving tool) Leafpad (simple text editor) Meld Diff Viewer (um, err..) PCManFM (pretty proficient file manager) ephoto (for viewing photos and images) Foxit Reader (for pdf files) Firefox 4 (including flash plugin. Youtube works right out of the box) Transmission (for all those downloads I like to watch) Umtsmon (um, ah..it's just there) XChat (she's a chatty thing) Libre Office Manager (in case I need something that heavy, it's there to get it) Aumix (just my preference) Exaile (works well for me) VLC (Skinned version too, works with all file types),

Of course Synaptic is there and any other program I need is just a download and install away, and it'll be the most current version.   ::) ::)

Thanks. I'll also give it a spin, and should be a nice change from e17 Lite 2010.12.
