Motion Computing M1400 Sound Trouble
« on: April 19, 2011, 03:38:27 PM »
I have a M1400 Motion Computing tablet running Pclinuxos 2.6.33.7-pclos6.bfs the sound works from the head phones but not from the speakers themselves. Your card currently use the ALSA "snd_intel8x0" driver (default driver for your card is "snd_intel8x0") I am still a little new to the os so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Everything else works like a charm the pen, finger print reader and video card all worked from install.

You don't say which Desktop Environment you are using.

If it is KDE then click the speaker icon in the system tray and select "mixer".
Then go to Settings->Configure Channels and make sure that ALL output channels (e.g  Speaker and PCM) are in the list of Visible Channels (drag them there if not).  Then make sure they are not muted and set levels to Max.
