Terminal transparancy in E17?
« on: April 21, 2011, 05:16:25 PM »
I have a freshly up-to-date 2010.12 PCLOS E17 installation. Vanilla. About the only thing I've added is k3b and Libre Office. I am wanting a console that is transparent. Neither Konsole nor xterm provide the option, although I've read in other forums that there's a --enable-transparency parameter for Konsole, which people have had trouble enabling. I seem to remember that Gnome's terminal has a transparency option in the preferences. Since E17 is a mix of stuff, I am wondering what are my options here.

Thanks.

Hi,

I use Sakura which is very light and has few depends. It can provide transparency from right-click preferences menus, as well as many nice options. Maybe you would like it.
