When right clicking on anything to open an options box, the box will close whenever the mouse button is released. Normally it stays open when the button is released. It works fine in pcmanfm and everywhere else.Something I have been meaning to ask about. In Thunar, on an item in a folder I need to hold the right-click down to be able to use the menu. Everywhere else is fine, even in empty space in a folder. Occasionally a really fast right-click will stay open, but that's a rarity. Has anyone come across this or should I start a new thread? This has been a small glitch with my Openbox install that I have just learnt to live with. Right-clicking on a file in Thunar meant holding down the right button whilst a selection was made. Bit like the good old days of Mac System 6! However, I think I may have found a solution.I had installed lxappearance and was playing around with various gtk themes. I found when trying other themes that the right-click worked fine. I narrowed the culprit down to Aurora, and any of its variations. It is the default theme for OB so that was a bit of an issue. We have OB on two computers, one a P4 and the other a duo-core - same issue on each. I selected Raleigh as the theme and now all is good. Right-click button works as it should. So just install lxappearance from the repo and make the change. There had been a few of us back then with this issue - I hope this is of help.

That's interesting, Neal - maybe it is an Openbox issue as Sproggy suggests. I just checked again and I definitely get it both with Aurora and aurora-elegant.
Open up ~/.themes/Aurora/gtk-2.0/gtkrc, and change the GtkMenu::vertical-padding = 0 to GtkMenu::vertical-padding = 1. Now if you right-click on a file or folder in Thunar, the pop-up menu works properly.
Well I'll be danged - google truly is your friend!! Just did a quick search and found this https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=53403 with the solution detailed here http://zuttobenkyou.wordpress.com/2008/11/10/aurora-gtk-engine-14-fix-for-thunar/.I haven't checked out the file yet - I've just got to find it!Sproggy - plenty of other distros use Thunar in Openbox. Crunchbang is the one that whet my appetite for the combo. The thing with linux is that the components should be mix-n-match - small glitches pop up from time to time, but they do even when things are supposedly matched!
I think that's it - QuoteOpen up ~/.themes/Aurora/gtk-2.0/gtkrc, and change the GtkMenu::vertical-padding = 0 to GtkMenu::vertical-padding = 1. I'll pass this on to the Openbox forum. It may also be of use to the LXDE users. EDIT - folder path in OB is /usr/share/themes/theme_name/
