Cursor Themes in Phoenix XFCE
« on: April 30, 2011, 11:59:33 AM »
Is the Wonderland cursor theme still available? Can`t find it in the repos.   I`m running the live cd, trying to decide if I should install Phoenix and I need a BLACK cursor. Don`t like obsidian either.  Hope I don`t offend but I have poor eyesight.  Any suggestions?.  So far I`m liking this incarnation of XFCE.  Seems fast and stable with lots of software to choose from  Thanks in advance.

Permafrost,

I don't have the current version of Phoenix installed yet. I am waiting for xfce 4.8 before I switch from PCLOS Gnome, but you may want to check out a cursor theme called Chameleon. It comes in several colors, including black (called Anthracite), in several different sizes (including large). I use this particular one a lot myself and find it very useful. You should be able to find it in the current repositories, and then you can check out Wonderland after you have installed...

Hope this helps some.

I switched to Crystal grey-scale and it`s better. There is no Black Chameleon in the repos that I could find Several colors but not black.,  Tried switching repos and no joy.  Not that big of a deal.  Thanks for the help.

permafrost,

AFAIK, the Wonderland cursor theme is still available, but (IIRC) only on the installed copy ... not the Live CD. It is my favorite cursor theme, and I use it on all of my various PCLinuxOS installations.
