Hi Ramchu. You can skip my fix so.

You have never got this error because:

A) You are not prelinking
B) You will see it later as Prelink command which is scheduled in Your system will be executed later
C) Tex already released upgraded /etc/prelink.conf file to the repo and You will not see this error coz You have it upgraded.

I think your fix is unnecessarily complicated. I got the same message and I did precisely what the message told me to do: I reinstalled the same version of Skype that I'd just installed. After that the new Skype has worked flawlessly.

Why did I have to install the same version of Skype twice? Your guess is as good as mine.

I think You don't realize that if You are prelinking - Your machine has cron setup to run prelink command every once in a while  and without my fix re-installation works till prelink is run again... . I don't want to download 23 mb of software each time it happens - so I fixed it permanently by excluding skype from being prelinked / borked.

You are right. I ran the prelink script in /etc/cron.daily, closed Skype and restarted it. And the message reappeared. Thanks for your fix.

Tex is faster then the fastest mouse in Mexico... Even Speedy Gonzales is slower then our Texstar!

Found this few seconds ago .

I bet one of the fixes is the Skype bin being added to the prelink conf file .

After this my fix becomes obsolete .
