LibreOffice - How to add a toolbar permanently?
« on: April 06, 2011, 05:42:37 PM »
Ok Guys - I am stuck...

I am sure You know that if You add the picture (or table) to the lets say text document in LibreOffice a special toolbar pops out with image / table tools. What I want to do is I want to add this toolbar permanently so when I open LibreOffice its there already whether the document contains picture or table or not. So far my LibreOffice opens 2 toolbars. Standard and formatting.

I googled / youtubed / was messing around with the settings. I know how to customize toolbar. I know how to add new toolbar. I know how to hide / show icons in toolbar... but I can't figure out how to add existing toolbar lets say table to my LibreOffice so it opens at the LibreOffice start.

Do You know how to do so?

Please tell me coz I think I got blind or stupid.

Thanks in advance.

not blind or stupid...

I thought I had the answer but I got the same action you did... I think the answer lies in the implementation of toolbars by LibreOffice. They are context related. However, I did drag one to the top and dock it. The next time I opened Writer, it was there.....  did the opposite - undock it and close it... next time it was gone.

See if it works the same for you.

Ah... This sounds good.

Add a picture. When toolbar pops up drag it where it should be and dock it there...

Will test it and let You know.

Hmmm... No go...

I added table. Toolbar pops up. If I drag it to the top it clicks below the formatting toolbar. I can click on the little arrow as well and choose to dock it (not when it is already clicked in). Then I can even lock the toolbars position. No matter what I do - its not there after reopening fresh writer document unless I open document with a table.

Hmmmm...
