Desktop moved to the side
« on: April 04, 2011, 07:52:11 AM »
Hi all,

apart from system settings ("Configure your Desktop") still freezing sometimes when applying changes I have a funny behaviour of the desktop from time to time:

It's like the desktop moves "over the edge" from time to time. Hitting a screen edge with the mouse puts it back to normal. First it was only in desktop view, lately also maximized windows show this  :(

It sneaked in with KDE 4.5.5 and though re-setting my desktop settings after KDE 4.6.1 update, this one stayed with me. Therefore I guess it's not (only) related to desktop effects. It's not persistant and I couldn't relate it to any action.

Any ideas what to change / delete / reinstall / restore to make this stop?

This is a ThinkPad X61T Core2Duo 1.6, 4GB ram, Intel onboard video.

TIA,

Andreas
