Getting odd error message from Krusader (SOLVED)

Hello, John.  I had previously positioned the icon on the toolbar and the first time I did that it worked fine.  After rebooting on a different day the icon gave the same result as trying to launch root mode from the toos/start root mode krusader.  From the UA toolbar dropdown it launches just fine whether using the commands you cited or the command that I was using.  I thought your description of configuring the icon meant that you actually configured the icon itself.  In that case it already has been assigned by Krusader to launch root mode and thus cannot be changed.  Oh well, thanks for trying.  It's not a big deal as I have two launch options now instead of only one.  Your first tip was excellent and still works but the root mode icon is contrary so I've removed it and will use one of the other options.  Happy computing to you.

You did take out the existing toolbar button for the non-functioning root mode, yes? and then inserted yours, in it's place?  (Just checking.)

I don't know what to say, as mine as I have described previously, works fine everytime.

What exactly happens, when you say it doesn't work anymore? Nothing? An error of some sort?

Edit: in the dialog that pops up when you click on your button, asking for root's password, it show the command that it is going to run, is it yours, or the original one. (I just noticed this myself.)

The icon had not been there but I did add it after experiencing the problem.  I also changed it out to an alternate icon but that doesn't work either.  As far as the command that shows up it is the erroneous command, not the correct/current one and that is what I couldn't figure out how to change.  I know the correct script (command) but not how to change the icon's default command.  AFIK there isn't a way to edit it.  If you know otherwise please enlighten me.  Thanks.

The icon is just for the button face. You could any icon for the button you want.

The title of my UA is:      Root mode &w/set folders

This is what shows up in the left listbox, when can be selected and set as a toolbar button.

I can then select it and add it to the right listbox. (anything here will show up in the toolbar.)

I can't remember what the icon it was assigned by default, but I changed it to the same icon that the orig command used. (Doesn't have anything to do with the command itself, it's just an icon.)

Therefore, something has reassigned your root toolbar button back to default, and not to your UA.

Try looking for the name you assigned to your UA in the left side list and redo it to the right. But make sure you take out the existing root button by highlighting in the right list and using the arrow button pointing left to take it out of the right list. Then put in your UA.

Sorry, I'm not really good at instructing on paper,    I'm a verbal person (could explain better talking rather than typing).

I finally got it working.  My default icon disappeared from the UA configuration and I finally moved my cursor over it and it appeared as a raised button which I then configured and hit return.  At that point the default configuration was correct and I was able to change and set the appropriate icon on the toolbar.  So now I'll wait and see what behavior changes occur after a reboot.  That will come later.  Thanks again for working with me on this.  At least this time I think I can reconfigure it if I have to.
