Using pclos Gnome. Should I use avidemux? I did install it,but it isn't in the apps menu.Do I need more files?

ffmpeg -i file.ovg file.flv

winFF is a GUI for ffmpeg conversion, available in synaptic repos.

Great! Thx. What app is best for video editing? I need to shorten the length of the video.

The best for who ?
If you want to give a try to openshot, I only edited (shortened) 1 video, but it worked! 2 minute learning ... I think is good for primer like me.
