Yes, I thought the additional info "Installation complete" might be useful to avoid people starring at a window and wondering what is happening now...  ::)  ;D

What about adding a "Next" button? ....  ;D ;D

yes, was trying to get this working for some time but now I have something even better...  ;D
you will find it in the new lomanager 3.3.2  ;)
-p.

Thanks for the update Pinoc, worked perfectly.
A lovely bash script with zenity, I may be wrong here but 700+ lines must be about a weeks work?

Works great. Thanks for the update. No sourcecode to download. No 8 hour compiling. No searching for bug fix patches, No uploading to the repos megabytes worth of packages. Just update the script and get the latest version of LibreOffice the same day it is released. It doesn't get any better than that for me.

Hi scoundrel,
just tested and it works fine. Could it be that your Internet connection is a bit unstable or temporarily disconnecting during the download?
regards,
-p.

hmm, strange. No idea what might go on there.  :(
Alternatively, if you can install LO on a different PC and select to keep the packages then you could transfer them to your PC and install them there following the instructions in the directory of the downloaded packages.
best,
-p.

scoundrel,
does the download start at all or does it stop after some time with a partial download? Two packages should be downloaded for the en_US installation, the base-package and the help-package, do you get any of these two downloaded? Or do you try to install some other language, and if so which one?

this is on a new updated LXDE mini .. the install starts and does the java, but then it just stops and says its done.. after a while I hit the close button and then the libreoffice installer starts.. then it just hangs there, then it blinks and hangs some more.. then it pops up with the download failed

this is what I get on this LXDE

Code: [Select]
[root@localhost scoundrel]# stdin: is not a tty

Internet connection working

scoundrel,
thanks for the info, unfortunately I can not test this right now because I'm on a business trip until next week. Maybe you can try to first add the Java via Synaptic and then run lomanager after that. What puzzles me is that you get the message "adding new LOlocale" while apparently you install the en_US base version, which is not a new LOlocale.
Let's do this until I'm back home next week:
- wait until then  ::)
- maybe this evening (I'm in a meeting right now) I can setup an offline installation and put it on my dropbox for you. Then you could download that and install it. Must go now,
later,
-p.

@ Scoundrel,
you can now try to download and follow the newly added 1b) Alternative Offline installation instructions. Hope this works and is useful  ;)
regards,
-p.

@AS,
the code is ok, we grep the md5sum info in the mirrorlist file and match that to the downloaded archive to verify the download.
