please contact me via pm, or root AT linuxgator.org

thanks

All I need to know is that my account was deleted from linuxgator without a word of explanation.

My login and password were supplied via LastPass and worked fine before.

I tried entering them manually. No workee. Account won't send me the password changing link coz my e-mail is not in the database.

Not interested in working with gnome3.

Cheers.

When is the last time you logged in?

Forum was transfered last year, so some accounts were lost.
Also recently we had some troubles with spam, so forum was pruned for inactive users.

Sorry for the inconvenience, i just can't watch for each and every account

I registered long time after forum was moved. I suspect I know what happened to it but I will keep it to myself.

You sound like there is some conspiracy involving your account...

Only Don, and I are admins who could delete accounts on purpose, and I assure you that was not the case.

This is the classic example with what i'm dealing with all the time... Someone is mad about some topics, or on another user,
some doesen't like the current theme, programs that were included in new release....
And i have to deal with all of that.
I'm really busy with my job and personal projects to contribute to this distro without (almost) any support.
Even i'm paying for the domain/hosting out of my pocket. Don is a great guy and he stoped contributing for the same reasons...

It's best for me to just drop everything

Don't give up. We are all on the same trolley. I am a conspiracy theory fanboy :).

Keep up to good work.

Hi Slax,

I don't know packaging at all but I can offer to test a few packages and give the word at French forum for testing as well when you will need testers. Among the French speaking users there are many who love Gnome versions.

Thanks guys :)
I'm speaking with MBantz and Siamer to find the best way to organize things so we'll let you know.
It's too soon for testing, but as soon as all gets packaged we can start.

I believe we can make it among the first gnome3 distros.

There is about 30 main packages that needs to be packaged or updated. I hope there isn't a huge number of dependencies that also needs to be updated :)
But we'll see as it goes...

Regards

Can we please be the last 3 distros to move to Gnome 3, you know when it actually becomes usable.  ;D I know it is all exciting to package something new but the end user is going to say what the hell is this crap and can I please have my Gnome 2 back.

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.

Oh ye of little faith  :D  :D

Actually I agree 100% (but I'm a KDE user so what do I know!!  ;) )

It may be wise to let it play out for awhile and let the dust settle. I guess you'll see lots of what to do and what not to do.

And you may have people jumping ship to a distro that decided to stick with Gnome 2x.

You are right about that !

I downloaded and ran the Gnome 3 live CD just the other day
and the changes are to many for most, like there is no min/max
buttons any more.

Going to be a lot of confusion at first.

I don't think there will be a lot of users saying Please, when demanding Gnome 2 back .

Sorry if I got off topic  ;)

Ok, no problemo :)
But anyways, we should package the files, later just update them...

Who knows what obstacles we'll bump to until it's finished...

But, if i may say, i personally like the new gnome :D

It still has it's simplicity, with added new features and eyecandy... It's not hard to adopt.

I also tried gnome's test cd, and it sucked compared to my test build on pclos.
Pclos version is way faster, and i didn't had so much crashing xD
