(Solved) Firefox will not launch in install from mylivecd
« on: March 19, 2011, 07:05:36 AM »
I customized Firefox and added a few bookmarks and extentions before remastering. I then copied the .mozilla folder over to /etc/skel since I wanted new users to get new the bookmarks and extensions. Everything works in the livecd, but when I install it to the hard drive and make a new user, Firefox will not launch. When I try starting it from the cli afterwards, there is zero output.

The only remedy I have found so far is to delete the .mozilla folder in the home directory, but that kind of defeats the whole purpose of making custom changes.

Anyone else having the same problem? Am I doing something wrong?

When you moved the .mozilla folder over to /etc/skel did you set user and group to root?
Earl
Never too old to learn.

No. I am an idiot. :)

Will try that.

Edit: Works now.
