minime Hardware detection
« on: March 19, 2011, 01:17:24 AM »
I do understand that the minime edition comes with a basic KDE desktop, but does this edition have the same ootb capabilities such as hardware detection, support for wifi and nividia driver like the full edition?

Thanks for clarification

AFAIK it comes with all the out-of-the-box under-the-hood stuff as the full edition. I have never installed a full edition unless I really have to. My preferred edition has always been the MiniMe. Some users will argue that it is much easier to uninstall than to download and install packages but I personally like the idea of installing my preferred applications.

I run some pretty standard setups so most of the hardware I use are detected.

But don't take my word for it. Some more knowledgeable users should be along shortly to give you a well-founded answer.

The underlying system is the same across all versions, mini and full.
