Hope this is the place to post:
Updated my laptop today (march 14th). Saw that the KDE 4.4.6 installed during updating. After, when wanting to change my wallpaper by rightclicking on the desktop, the screens blanks out (black) with my network icon flicking on the upper left side of the screen. When trying to run a program the computer freezes. Although I could logout wiht ctrl+alt+backspace. Restarted the machine a few times same thing happens. Got pissed. Logged out, logged in as root, copied all files to root, deleted standard user and added (him) via the control center, copied all files back to him.
Now - logging back in as the 'new' standard user everything is reset. Ok I thought - doesn't matter at all as long as I got to log in as standard user. Now , when I wanted to change the wallpaper, right-clicking on the desktop and choosing the lowest subject on the context menu - nothing happens! I'd like ti have the ability to change my wallpaper. Can anyone help?
I use the DELL Vostro 1000, with PCLOS KDE. Installed the newest PCLOS in march.
Am grateful for any advise.
